Description: Hi, my name is Desiree and I live in Northern Virginia. I graduated from the Greater Washington Institute of Massage in Fairfax, VA in early 2007 and I am a VA licensed, certified massage therapist. I currently specialize in Swedish massage, deep tissue, pregnancy massage, hot stone massage, and chair massage. My education is far from over, and I am always interested in learning new techniques.
I’ve been doing massage professionally since the summer of 2007, but my desire and passion to give massages started in 1999 when a massage therapist friend of mine gave me an awesome back massage. From then on, the idea of becoming a massage therapist lingered in the back of my mind. In the meantime, I had worked various jobs and had then become involved in humanitarian work in the country of Haiti. As I worked in different orphanages, it was during my time with the handicapped children that I saw and experienced the great importance of touch, and my desire to learn the art of massage grew even more. I moved to Virginia in 2006 and that’s when I decided to begin my career as a massage therapist. I love helping people and I love giving massages, and I also love music! I have always been a fan of music and I go to concerts whenever I can. I listen to all genres, but my favorite is house music because I love to dance.
