ZEN-SHIATSU is a massage technique developed in 1970's based on Shiatsu, incorporated with Hatha Yoga and Pilates movements.
Initially intended to cater for dancers, designers and artists
or those who use their body, brain, hands and legs and feet
as equal amount as their emotions.
"ZEN" is to empty mind and leave mortal pain behind.
ZEN-SHIATSU is all about the slow movement and the gentle but deep therapeutic touch.
It's a lot more gentle than orthodox Shiatsu and should never be painful.
It will melt your mind and body as your tension and knots are finally relaxed and lead you to a deep relaxation state.
Instead of using finger tips, I often use my palms and slowly apply pressure right on acupressure points as you breathe according to each meridian of body.
It is very calm, heavenly relaxing and deeply therapeutic(especially when combined with Reiki).
*This is a genuine therapeutic healing. It could be emotional, definitely uplifting.
