Description: My philosophy is that bodyworkers are poets of the flesh, sensory conversationalists-guides in the invisible, non-verbal world of tactile awareness. I have over 25 years of Tai Chi experience. Graduated from the Boston Shiatsu School and I have continued my education by studying with a wide range of acupuncturists in the greater Boston area. I feel my expertise lies in my compassion and understanding of my clients situations/difficulties manifested on the physical plane in addition to the varied techniques and styles I have come to master. My treatment sessions usually last over an hour with the client fully clothed. I treat in the traditional Japanese manner of mat on the floor, but I do tailor my style to the needs of the client, i.e. table or chair. I incorporate pressure, joint rotation, fascia stretching, breathwork, and subtle energy bodywork that allows the client to feel enpowered to deal with life on life's terms. I am licensed in two (2) municipalities in MA, and nationally certified by the AOBTA and NCBTMB. My practice is conveniently located in N. Cambridge, MA. on Mass. Ave.
I am also on the staff as the Asian bodywork therapist at a hot and massage spa
in Inman Square in Cambridge, MA, and on the staff of a massage establishment in Davis Sq. in Somerville, MA. | |
